Imagine an outdoor shower inspired by bathing and playing with a garden hose. More than a symbol of our collective imagination, the hose bath is, for most of us, a real memory of a time when we were freer and happier.
Imagine that play becoming a garden sculpture. Resting on the lawn, a polished stainless steel tube dances in the air like an unruly hose and, at last, pours a delightful hose bath over us. Its free, winding and exaggerated shape recalls the unpredictable movement of a hose under water pressure.
The piece is self-supporting and needs no installation: just connect a garden hose and it is ready to use. The spout and the valve are integrated into the tube, with the same diameter, so the object stays continuous from end to end.
Between infrastructure, sculpture and product, Chu-á goes beyond function, into memory, emotion and contemplation.
